Common Blackbird [koltrast]

Where there are apples, there are blackbirds. Most of them eat the apple as if from a bowl – the half one here has been eaten on by a fieldfare. Hedegärde, Uddevalla, on February 9, 2018.

Common Redpoll [gråsiska]

The common redpolls are still regular guests at our feeding station. Most of them pick seeds on the ground, but some of them have a more bold approach and take up residens in the feeder … What can I say – I love them! Pics from A. Hedegärde, Uddevalla, on February 6, 2018.

Marsh Tit [entita]

One of the best things of providing a variety of food at one's feeding station, is that on cold days like this, you get visits from a variety of birds. The marsh tits want sunflower seeds, the blackbirds go for the apples, while the great tits can do almost anything for a peanut. Hedegärde, Uddevalla, on February 6, 2017.

Eurasian Nuthatch [nötväcka]

The temperature is some –10° (Celsius), and these are busy days at our feeding station. But as soon as we go outside with our camera and not a refill of peanuts or lard, all birds take to the treetops … Except, today, for one nuthatch. Hedegärde, Uddevalla, on Monday 05, 2018.
