European Goldfinch [steglits]

We hardly ever see goldfinches around here. This winter is an exception – some days there's been 20 or 30 in the birch trees next to our feeding station. But every time I show up with the camera they disappear. So this is not a good photo. But at least there's a goldfinch. Hedegärde, Uddevalla, on February 7, 2019.

Busy at our Feeding Station

It's getting colder, and we have lots of more birds at our feeding station. So meet some of our resident blue birds, nuthatches, siskins (this is actually the first week we've had siskins here), great tits and robins. Hedegärde, Uddevalla, on January 13, 2016.

Busy at Our Feeding Station

The crows and the magpies helped finish the lard we'd placed in the coconut (we'll refill tomorrow), but there's still plenty of seeds for the smaller birds. Three of our most frequent visitors are represented in this pic. Unfortunately, the blue tits didn't want to join the party, nor did the blackbird.
