The feeding station at Älje-Porsen nature reserve just outside Uddevalla is re-filled all year around. The siskins love their peanuts! July 3, 2019.

The Swedish name translates to "green siskin" – but it's very yellow, isn't it? Älje-Porsen nature reserve, Uddevalla, on June 22, 2019.

Busy at our Feeding Station

It's getting colder, and we have lots of more birds at our feeding station. So meet some of our resident blue birds, nuthatches, siskins (this is actually the first week we've had siskins here), great tits and robins. Hedegärde, Uddevalla, on January 13, 2016.

It was a wonderful morning in Älje-Porsen nature reserve, Uddevalla, on May 3, 2015 – and a bit of a drama at the feeding station. The siskin had its breakfast, minding its own business. But when the woodpecker says ”Move it!”, you’d better move.
