Glaucous Gull [vittrut]

This is actually a rare bird! This glaucous gull has decided to spend the winter in our small coastal town, and to let older people feed it with large chunks of bread (the summer diet is more like eggs and young birds). Long-Tailed Tit [stjärtmes]

Today, we hade some unexpected but most welcome guests at our birding station: a pack of long-tailed tits. These are perhaps the cutest of all birds in Sweden! Hedegärde, Uddevalla, on January 4, 2017.

White-Tailed Eagle [havsörn]

Long distance, and difficult light, but the big lonely bird sitting on a small rock in the water (in the center of the photo) is actually a white-tailed eagle. We waited for it to come closer, but apparently that was a very good rock to spend the day on.
